The activities performed under LOT 3 - Rehabilitation of the water supply network were reported today- 11th September 2020.

 

The total length of the completed water pipes under LOT 3 is 31 949,31 metres. The water pipes are made of polyethylene pipes with a high density. All building water supply deviations to the adjacent plots of the newly built water supply system have been replaced - a total of 2,138 pieces. Stopcocks, fire hydrants and air vents have been built along the new routes.

 

The activities are part of the Project “Integrated project for improvement of the water sector in Dobrich – Stage 1“.

      

       Current value of the Project: BGN 109,725,200.18 with VAT

       Gratuitous financial assistance: BGN 82,358,795.39 without VAT

       Own participation: BGN 9,171,317.26 without VAT

 

According to the Water and Sewerage Company, after the implementation of LOT 2 and LOT 3 of the Project, 41% less water is supplied to the town of Dobrich, which means that the losses have dropped significantly. This is a result of the replacement of the old asbestos cement water network with the new polyethylene pipes. The data shows that from the beginning of 2020 to the end of August this year the water supplied to the city is 879 476 cubic metres, and for the same period of 2018 the cubic meters were 1 483 108.
