The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Danail Papazov gave start of the construction of "Pazardzhik-Stamboliyski" railway section

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Danail Papazov gave start of the construction of "Pazardzhik-Stamboliyski" railway section, part of Plovdiv-Septemvri sector. The section length is 19km, the whole sector is 53km.
The trace gives the opportunity the trains to run up to 200kmph.
Position 2: "Modernization of Pazardzhik-Stamboliyski railway" section is part of the project "Modernization of Plovdiv-Septemvri" railway sector which is realized with resources from OP "Transport 2007-2013". The contract price for the construction of railway sector Pazardzhik-Stamboliyski is nearly 66 million lev VAT included.
The project includes construction of a new railway development of Ognyanovo and Stamboliyski railway stations and modernization of the existing one in Stamboliyski railway station. Both underpasses will be furnished with elevators. There will be built new plat forms, platform covers and soundproofing walls in the stations of the sector.
The catenary system will be renewed along the whole section.
Employer is the National Railway Infrastructure Company.
Constructor for the project is «IGA Rail Infra» Consortium which includes Ingstroyengineering LTD.
